Flower Rules and Regulations

The beauty of Rose Hill is aided by the cooperative efforts of everyone.  Therefore, we request your compliance with the rules and regulationsof grave decorations.  Visitors are reminded of the cemetery's obligation to maintain the lawns and that the trimming of the grass continues once or twice weekly throughout the grass growing season.  Rose Hill reserves the right to remove anything that is deemed unsightly or may be of danger to others.

Placement of flowers:  In bronze vases is allowed throughout the year.

 

November 1st - April 1st:  While the grass is not growing, silk flowers, wreaths, and evergreen blankets are permitted on the lot and will not be removed by our employees until they are considered unsighly, out of season, or injurious to the turf.

April 1st - November 1st:  While the grass is growing, fresh flowers, potted plants, wreaths, baskets, etc. are permitted on Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's Day weekends.  These items are allowed over Memorial Day for a period of 10 days.  They can be placed two days before and eight days after Monday of Memorial Day.  Floral arrangements may be kept in the bronze vases year-round until they are out-of-season or become unsightly with the exception of the month of October for fall clean up.  All flowers must be removed between October 1st and November 1st, including those in the bronze vases.  We do not permit any decoration except those in the bronze vases with exception to the times mentioned above.  If items are placed on the above mentioned times, they must be removed in a timely fashion so as not to be in the way of moving.

Items removed after Memorial Day, Easter, Mother's Day and Father's Day:  Will be destroyed.  Rose Hill Memorial Gardens is not responsible for any flowers or containers placed at any interment location.

 Please do not disturb the turf:  By planting flowers.  Placing wires to secure top-heavy containers at places of interment is not allowed at anytime of the year since this disturbs the turf and will damage expensive maintenance equipment or cause injury.  Holes, sunken containers and all such items can not be permitted at any time because their potential hazard to the safety of people waling in the gardens.  Our employees are instructed to remove all such containers.

Papers and discarded flowers:  Should be places in the rubbish containers provided.
